Geoff Ind - Animation Tutor
Geoff is a highly motivated and much-nominated animation artist. Having trained in New Zealand and Australia, Geoff began his animation career in 2001 at Slightly Off Beat Animation (later to become Anim8).
More recently he was employed with Walt Disney Animation in Sydney where he worked on six animated feature films, including Brother Bear 2, Cinderella 3 and Mickey, Donald and Goofy's The Three Musketeers.
Geoff says his favourite part of animation is when a character that he has been working on (sometimes for months at a stretch) as a series of hand drawn pictures, finally comes to life and starts moving around and acting with a life of their own.
"It's very rewarding to finally see the result of all of the hard work you and the other artists have put in."

ANIWA NICHOLAS | 2008 Aniwa is a presenter on the Pukoro series for Māori TV. In 2007 she visited South Seas with her high-school classmates and remembers, "Going to South Seas showed us what media studies and career pathways we could do." She enrolled in South Seas' 2008 Film and Television Production course. "Everything was hard-out just like the industry. We quickly learned how to become professional. I also really enjoyed the practical nature of the course and the great support I got from all the other Maori Rongo students on the course." |
