South Seas is offering animation workshops absolutely FREE, , where you can watch professional demonstrations and participate in hands-on workshops in creative animaton concepts and fundamentals of character animation.

Basic Outline

10.00: Introduction / Housekeeping

10:15am: Concept Art and Illustration workshop. This thorough introduction includes a demonstration of professional digital drawing & painting techniques, and allows you to participate at your own level. Basic computer experience is useful though not necessary. Includes a basic intro to Adobe Photoshop painting tools. Wacom tablets available or feel free to bring your own.

11.45: Short Break

12.00: Character Animation workshop. Learn about how characters are brought to life in animated films and games. During this session explore fundamentals of character animation including creating dynamic poses for believable character animation performances.

1pm: Wrap Up

Workshops are led by experienced animation artists. There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions about animation and discounts on upcoming short course available for weekend workshop attendees.

Note: Drawing classes may include a live model(nude). Digital resources and drawing materials provided. Session content may vary between workshops.

Minimum age 16.
Courses are held once each month on Saturdays, from 10am - 1pm.
