Courses will be held in July, September/October and November 2010.

This 5-day course will provide students with practical, hands-on animation production experience using South Seas Animation School facilities and equipment. It is primarily designed to introduce students to the scope and content of the 2-year full time Animation Production course.

The course introduces students to 2D classical animation. Students will be prepped on the animation marketplace and given basic drawing skills under studio conditions.

Students will be taught animation workflow and procedures, and learn about animation fundamentals including inbetweening, key animation, layout, cleanup and storyboarding. Each day students will complete one practical project including warm up drawing exercises. During the course students are introduced to Flash animation and complete exercises using this programme.

Course Duration: 5 days

Course Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm each day

Course Numbers: 16 - 18 students

Entry Criteria: Minimum age 16 years with good drawing skills

Facilities: As per fulltime Animation Production course

Course Fees: NZ$225 (inc GST)
