South Seas Film and Television School, in collaboration with Manukau Institute of Technology, is proud to offer the Bachelor Programme in Performing Arts.

Manukau School of Visual Arts (Diploma in Performing Arts) will involve the development of basic professional performance skills in the three disciplines of acting, singing and dance under the guidance of professional tutors.  The skills will then be showcased in class and in public performances. The course will reflect the cultural makeup and diversity of the students.

On successful completion of year one, students will be awarded a Diploma in Performing Arts.  On successful completion of year two, students will be awarded an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts.  On successful completion of year three, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Performance.

Students will be prepared for participation in the professional performance industry in acting (for film, television and theatre) and/or singing (soloist, ensemble, musical theatre) and/or dance (dance company and musical theatre).

All tutors are industry professionals and continue to operate in professional productions in Auckland and throughout New Zealand. A combination of older, experienced tutors teaching alongside young, innovative, professional practitioners, is designed to ensure students' skill development is thorough and pertinent in today's world.

  Student Profile - KERRI ROGGIO

KERRI ROGGIO | 2009
Straight after graduation in December 2009, Kerri picked up work as Assistant Editor on the feature film The Insatiable Moon. “This was a low-budget film and my role was unpaid,” says Kerri. “But proving that taking unpaid jobs often leads to paid work, the editor of The Insatiable Moon, Paul Maxwell, is now editing a TV movie produced by Screentime and he has offered me a paid position as his Assistant Editor. Editing is awesome and I can't wait til I've learned enough to edit a feature of my own.”
