South Seas Graduate Bella Gavelin Travels The World With National Geographic
This week we heard from one of our past South Seas students Bella Gavelin, who went to Vietnam over summer with National Geographic to work on a TV show. The first episode will air on National Geographic channel in Australia and New Zealand (SKY channel 72 for New Zealand subscribers) on 1st July at 6.30pm.
Since working on the TV Show, Bella has been on another expedition where she (alongside her peer Mattias) filmed the northern lights. They worked with the same guide who assisted the BBC on their Frozen Planet series, and loved following in the footsteps of the great nature documentary filmmakers.Bella is also working as a post-production assistant on a TV documentary and expects to start work as a camera operator on a feature film, that will be released Christmas time this year. Bella describes her experience as “Pretty amazing! It’s always a lot fun working on big projects!”
